What are the Best Toilet Brands 2021?
How often do you think about your toilet at home?
Occasionally? Rarely? Never?
I mean, if the toilet’s working fine and there’s no issue, then you’re probably just living your life.
What if I were to tell you that choosing a toilet that suits you is an important component of living at home for a lifetime?
Yeah, I know it’s a bold statement from a bold woman. But in all sincerity, I want you to live happily in your home instead of a nursing home, so I wrote this article to draw your attention to the best toilets to consider putting in your bathroom!
Good Housekeeping published ‘8 Best Toilets of 2021’ where they said they had engineers rigorously test different toilet brands to determine each one’s “performance and efficiency”.
And boy, did they rigorously test these toilets! They were flushing all kinds of things, like golf balls, and measuring the noise level of the toilets. That’s pretty thorough research!
So without further ado, let’s go over several of the toilets that made Good Housekeeping’s list! (To read the entire article, go HERE.) If you’d rather watch a video version of this blog, go HERE and subscribe to my YouTube channel while you’re at it!

1) Best Overall Toilet: Corbelle Comfort Height Toilet
The most important thing to note about this toilet is that it’s listed as a “comfort-height” toilet. That means that the toilet seat height from the floor is 17-19” tall, which is typically the height of a seat in a chair.
Just so you know, the terms “comfort-height” and “chair height” are pretty interchangeable in the world of toilets.
If you’re 5’4” or taller, comfort-height toilets work really well because they help align your hips, knees, and ankles into 90 degree angles. You are better positioned to safely get on and off the toilet, wipe, and do whatever else you normally would while sitting on the john.
For all my petite people, “comfort-height” toilets are to be avoided. You want your feet flat on the ground when you sit on the toilet. It’s just not possible when the seat is too high off of the floor. We don’t want your feet to dangle in the air because then you’ll also feel uncomfortable pressure at the back of your legs.
Moral of the story is comfort-height toilets are not for everyone!
One of the reasons why this toilet gained ‘Best Overall’ is due to its flushing power. This sucker can flush “21 tissues, seven sponges and 14 golf balls”! That fact alone gives me the confidence that I’m not going to clog the toilet, unless, my toddler is unsupervised . . .
This Corbelle toilet also has a “surface treatment that helps inhibit the growth of water scale and mineral stains.” Heck yes! My bowl’s going to be looking good for a long time!
2) Best Feature-Rich Toilet: Cadet Touchless Toilet
First up, I love that this toilet has a sensor. Instead of me flushing a toilet handle, all I have to do is move away from the toilet for it to flush itself. Good job, toilet! Give me all the technology please!
If you’re into saving water, this toilet only uses 1.28 gallons per flush. The less water use, the better in my book!
Lastly, the Cadet toilet has an “anti-microbial surface [that] helps reduce the build-up of stain-inducing mold, mildew, algae and fungus that cause staining and the deterioration of plumbing lines.” That means you’re going to use this toilet for a longer period of time.
3) Best Wall-Mounted Toilet: Veil Wall-Hung Toilet
Not gonna lie. I love me a wall-mounted toilet!
The Veil Wall-Hung toilet saves you space because the toilet tank is located inside of your bathroom wall AND you don’t have a toilet base on the floor.
This makes your bathroom look more open, less cluttered, more chic, etc. Don’t we all want a kick ass looking bathroom?
But even better than looking cool is the safety that a wall-mounted toilet offers. You won’t trip on the base of the toilet, especially if you’re a walker or wheelchair user. AND you can install the toilet at the best height for your needs.

This Veil toilet also has dual-flush technology to help you use the right amount of water depending on if you go #1 or #2. It was awarded the EPA WaterSense seal, so you know you’re going to save money on water use!
The only downside to this beautiful toilet is the cost of the toilet and the cost of installation. If you’re considering this toilet, you really need to look at it as a long-term investment that’s totally worth it!
Review
Let’s do a quick review of what you want in a toilet:
a height that works for you and your household
water efficiency
flushing power
antimicrobial surfaces
Lastly, you want to take into consideration the type of toilet handle that is on the toilet. Personally, I hate the recessed dual flush buttons installed on the top of the toilet tank. I mean, how hard do we want to work to flush the damn toilet? Can I get an ‘amen’, arthritis sufferers?
If the buttons on top of the tank extend the surface, then that’s a least more doable to flush. To learn more about different types of toilet handles, watch this video.
